Princess Anne suffered a serious accident on June 23.

A few days ago, on June 24th, Buckingham Palace surprised everyone by announcing that Princess Anne had suffered an accident.

This incident occurred on June 23rd, and as a result, King Charles’s sister was admitted to the hospital.

The main cause of her hospitalization was a concussion, stemming from an incident at Gatcombe Park the day before.

Although the injuries suggest that she may have been struck by a horse, specific details of the accident remain a mystery.

Princess Anne has been hospitalized since Sunday, June 23. She suffered a riding accident.

On June 25th, prestigious British media outlets, including The Telegraph, reported that Princess Anne had experienced temporary amnesia as a consequence of the accident.

After being discharged on June 28th, the princess has been recovering at her Gloucestershire residence, following a rehabilitation program.

However, recent reports have revealed what would be Princess Anne’s first statements after the incident—a development that has captured the attention of numerous royal admirers.

    What did Princess Anne say?

For the first time, Princess Anne has expressed her feelings after suffering a concussion due to an equestrian incident at her country residence.

During a commemorative ceremony on July 1st, marking the centenary of the Newfoundland War Memorial, the Governor General of Canada read a message on behalf of the 73-year-old princess.

Princess Anne was hospitalized for several days after the accident.

Although she had intended to attend the event in person, her recent accident prevented her from doing so.

In her statement, Princess Anne conveyed:

“It is with deep regret that I am unable to be with you today, as you commemorate the brave efforts and sacrifices of the members of the Newfoundland Regiment who went into battle on the first day of the Somme,” the Princess Royal said in the statement.

Princess Anne had to suspend all her royal duties following the accident

“I have fond memories of joining you in 2016, on the 99th occasion that the people of this Island commemorated the Battle of Beaumont Hamel, and I am deeply saddened that I’m unable to join you again, and I send you my warmest best wishes on this special day of commemoration,” she added.

Currently, Princess Anne continues her recovery and has not fully resumed her royal duties. It is expected that she will resume her official activities once her doctors confirm her complete recovery and good health.
