Princess Beatrice is now the style queen of the royal family. At 35, King Charles’ niece has topped Tatler’s latest best-dressed list, surpassing style icons like Cruz Beckham and Lady Starmer.
The magazine called Beatrice the “princess of perfection,” applauding her ability to blend vintage-inspired looks with the latest runway trends.
However, Princess Beatrice wasn’t always praised for her fashion sense.
Princess Beatrice Tops Tatler’s Best-Dressed List
After the 2011 wedding of her cousin Prince William to Kate Middleton, she faced heavy criticism for her outfit, particularly the infamous Philip Treacy “pretzel” hat (which she later auctioned for charity).
Since then, Princess Beatrice has honed her style.
Nowadays, Princess Beatrice frequently opts for floral dresses, such as the one she wore at Wimbledon on July 9 or during a school visit on July 23, where she highlighted the importance of sun safety as a patron of the British Skin Foundation.
She made a chic statement at the November opening of Monique Lhuillier’s London flagship store in Mayfair, dazzling in a rose gold sequined dress with a matching capelet by the designer.
Princess Beatrice also had two memorable moments at Royal Ascot this summer.
On June 19, she wowed in a floral print midi dress by Zimmerman.
Just two days later, she stunned in another summery dress by Emilia Wickstead, paired with a yellow hat, as she participated in the Royal Procession.
But perhaps her most notable outfit was both sentimental and creative: she repurposed her grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s vintage ivory Peau de Soie taffeta dress by Norman Hartnell as her wedding gown in 2020.
