This summer, King Charles and Princess Charlotte have been connecting in a sweet and unexpected way.
After the State Opening of Parliament on July 17, where he appeared alongside Queen Camilla on her 77th birthday, the 75-year-old monarch was spotted wearing a colorful string bracelet on his right wrist.
This new accessory closely resembles the type of bracelets that his granddaughter, 9-year-old Princess Charlotte, has recently been seen wearing.
Princess Charlotte’s Gift to King Charles
Princess Charlotte recently enjoyed a fun day out at Wimbledon on July 14, accompanied by her mom, Kate Middleton, and her aunt, Pippa Middleton.
The trio watched the men’s singles final from the front row of the Royal Box. Charlotte, full of excitement, clapped and adjusted her sunglasses, revealing two string bracelets adorning her right wrist, one pale pink and the other blue.
While the colors of their bracelets don’t exactly match, with Charlotte’s being pink and blue, the timing is remarkable as both the King and Charlotte began wearing them around the same time.
King Charles was first seen with his bracelet on July 11, during a visit to Wales with Queen Camilla.
The King continued to wear the bracelet during a two-day visit to the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey on July 15 and 16.
This isn’t the first time King Charles has subtly paid tribute to his grandchildren through fashion.
As reported by the Daily Mail, he has a dinosaur tie in pink and blue, believed to be a Christmas gift from one of his grandchildren.
He wore this charming tie to church in January 2023 and again in late April when he resumed public engagements after his cancer diagnosis was announced in February.
String bracelets, like those worn by King Charles and Princess Charlotte, have become a staple summer accessory.
These bracelets have recently gained popularity thanks to Taylor Swift and have become a trend during Swift’s Eras Tour world tour, which incidentally Prince William attended on his 42nd birthday, June 21, along with his older children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
During the London concert at Wembley Stadium, the royals met Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, backstage, capturing rare selfies.
