Princess Diana’s life was marked by the presence of her three brothers, who played an important role in her life and in her relationship with Prince Charles.
Although Diana’s childhood and that of her siblings were marked by the separation of their parents, they all formed a close relationship that lasted until the tragic death of the People’s Princess.
Who are Princess Diana’s siblings?
Charles Spencer
Charles Spencer, 58, is Diana’s only sibling and because they were the youngest, during their youth they maintained a close relationship. This was partly due to the fact that their older sisters spent part of that stage in a boarding school.
Princess Diana’s brother excelled as a journalist, working for The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph, The Guardian, among other newspapers. He was also a correspondent for NBC News from 1986 to 1995.
Charles Spencer honored the memory of Lady Di by building a funeral temple in her honor. In addition, his daughter is named Charlotte Diana Spencer, in tribute to his late sister.
Jane Fellowes
Jane Fellowes, one of Princess Diana’s older sisters, is currently 66 years old. Due to the age difference, it is said that they did not live together much during their early years.
In a memorable event, Jane Fellowes was the one who informed her nephews, William and Harry, of Lady Di’s tragic death on the day of her passing.
Jane married Robert Fellowes, who was Queen Elizabeth II’s private secretary from 1990 to 1999. The couple has three children and four grandchildren.
Sarah McCorquodale
Sarah McCorquodale, 68, is Princess Diana’s older sister. Before Diana began her relationship with the future prince of the United Kingdom, Sarah had already had a brief affair with him. However, their relationship did not prosper and ended shortly thereafter. Subsequently, it is curious that Sarah was the person who introduced Lady Di to Charles.
