Every year, Belgium’s National Day becomes a royal catwalk showcasing the latest fashion trends.
This year was no different, and Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant, stole the show with her choice of wardrobe that left everyone impressed.
The young heiress to the Belgian throne has long been seen as a style icon for young girls, and her choice for the event only reinforced that image.
Princess Elisabeth’s style on the Belgian National Day
Elisabeth dazzled in a fuchsia pink dress by London-based brand Safiyaa, which is also one of Kate Middleton’s favorites.
This elegant gown, which costs $1,250, is a monochromatic midi that enhances her figure with a fitted silhouette and clean lines, perfectly combining elegance and modernity.
This year, for the first time in two years, the princess opted not to include a national element in her outfit. In 2023, she had worn a yellow dress by Belgian brand Natan, and the year before, a red one by Victoria Beckham, all in tune with the national colors.
As for accessories, Elisabeth kept a national touch. She opted for a tiara model Florentina by Fabienne Delvigne and a pink handbag by the same Belgian designer, which had been previously used by Queen Mathilde.
This look connects with Belgian traditions and reflects an openness towards European trends.
Accompanying Princess Elisabeth, her sister Eleonore also captured attention with her fashion choices.
Eleonore wore a white midi dress with floral print in shades of red by Diane Von Furstenberg. The model, named Valerie, stands out for its elegance and simplicity, with wide sleeves that balance the fitted silhouette that falls to mid-thigh.
This dress, which cost $175, was perfectly complemented with red stilettos that harmonized the ensemble.
The princesses wore their elegant outfits during the first event of the day: the traditional Te Deum ceremony at the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula. There, they were accompanied by their parents, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, and their siblings, Prince Emmanuel and Prince Gabriel.
After the ceremony, the royal family attended the military parade, where the King and Queen and Princes Emmanuel and Eleonore watched from the official grandstand.
However, Princess Elisabeth and her brother Gabriel, who have military training, changed their attire to parade in uniform.
Throughout the day, the royal family took part in their traditional walk through the Royal Park and enjoyed a nightly fireworks and drone show.
