Princess Eugenie, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, has become the mother of her second child. The little boy was born on May 30, 2023, in London.
Eugenie, 32, who has been married to businessman Jack Brooksbank since 2018, welcomed her second child. The information was released by Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter herself through her social media account.
“Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs”.
Princess Eugenie’s baby name
Eugenie has revealed the baby’s name and its origin.
“He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald,” said the princess, referring to George VI, the father of Elizabeth II, George Brooksbank, grandfather of the newborn who died in November 2021, and Ronald, father of Sarah Ferguson who died in 2003.
Along with the announcement, Eugenie has shared two images of the little one: one showing Ernest peacefully asleep, and the next one showing Eugenie and Jack’s eldest son, August, looking tenderly at his little brother and stroking his head.
The princess herself has stated that “he already loves being his big brother.”
It was in January of this year when the princess announced that she was pregnant with her second child.
Sarah Ferguson’s youngest daughter chose social media to share a tender image in which August was seen giving her pregnant belly a kiss.
“We are so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer,” the princess wrote.
With his birth, Ernest takes the 13th place in the line of succession to the British throne. He is also the 13th great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and the first great-grandchild of the queen to be born after her death on September 8, 2022.
