After several months of recovery, Princess Kate is set to return to official duties, coinciding with the imminent return of her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, to the United Kingdom.
Both events have generated speculation about how the dynamic at Buckingham might be changing.
Princess Kate’s Return
On the one hand, Kate Middleton, after facing a cancer diagnosis earlier this year and overcoming months of treatment, has resumed her work with a meeting at Windsor Palace focused on early childhood, one of her signature causes.
Her return, although gradual, reflects her commitment to her royal duties, but always prioritizing her health.
Kate had already announced that she would return calmly, ensuring that her well-being remains the priority.
Prince Harry’s UK Visit
In parallel, Prince Harry will return to British soil at the end of September, this time to attend the Well Child 2024 Awards, a cause he has been linked to for years.
Although the organization is independent of the Palace, the visit has sparked theories about whether this could be a step towards greater involvement in official events, despite having relinquished his royal duties some time ago.
Many have seen recent gestures, such as the public 40th birthday greeting on social media of King Charles III and the Prince and Princess of Wales, as signs of a possible rebuilding of relations between Harry and the royal family.
Despite this, his wife, Meghan Markle, is not expected to accompany him on this trip.
Since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, Meghan has not returned to the UK, and according to several sources, she has no intention of returning to the UK, nor of resuming her role within the royals.
This return of Harry, although brief and focused on his engagement to Well Child, has generated curiosity about whether he will take advantage of his stay to meet with his father or brother, something that the media have not ceased to speculate.
What they are sure of is that the visit marks an important moment for Harry, in the midst of his estrangement from royal duties.
