Princess Leonor of Spain and Emma van Vollenhoven, a member of the Dutch royalty, share striking physical and personality traits that make them true “royal twins”.
Despite belonging to different European royal houses, there are several similarities between these two young royals.
Princess Leonor of Spain and Emma van Vollenhoven of the Netherlands
Leonor, heiress to the Spanish throne, and Emma, granddaughter of Princess Margrethe of the Netherlands, the sister of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, bear a striking physical resemblance, especially in their eyes, face shape, and hair color.
Emma is 17 years old, the eldest daughter of Prince Pieter Christian of Orange-Nassau. Emma’s mother is Anita of Orange-Nassau, who is of Swiss origin and also studied communications, like Philip VI’s wife.
Royal observers say it is very unusual to find two “doubles” between different royal houses, which makes the case of the Princess of Asturias and Emma van Vollenhoven especially unique.
Despite their different countries of origin, these two young women share ties that go beyond the physical.
