After their exciting debut in the tennis match that pitted Rafa Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz against Argentinean Gonzalez and Molteni, the daughters of the King and Queen have not stopped for a moment.
The sisters have attended water polo, field hockey, swimming and badminton competitions, showing their constant support for the Spanish team.
Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia in Paris
Sunday was a long day full of emotions. They began by attending the men’s water polo match between Spain and Australia, in which Spain emerged victorious.
They also greeted the swimmers of the Spanish team and Jessica Vall after her competition in the 100m breaststroke.
Later, they enjoyed the women’s field hockey match where the “red sticks” defeated the United Kingdom.
In the afternoon, Leonor and Sofia attended Carolina Marin’s badminton match against Switzerland’s Jenjira Stadelmann, which culminated in Marin’s victory.
The sisters already knew Carolina, as Queen Letizia once asked her to give badminton lessons to her daughters.
Leonor and Sofia at the Eiffel Tower
The day of Monday, July 29, started early for Leonor and Sofia, who did not want to miss the beach volleyball match of the Spanish delegation.
The King had made it clear during the reception of the Spanish Olympic team last Thursday at the embassy in Paris that the royal family would be divided to be present at the competitions of the Spanish athletes.
Keeping his word, while King Felipe and Queen Letizia attend commitments in Palma de Mallorca, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia have been in the French capital since Saturday.
This Monday they started their day in front of an iconic place: the Eiffel Tower.
The young royals attended the beach volleyball match where Pablo Herrera and Adrián Gavira faced Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot in the preliminaries of the Olympic Games.
Although they had been a lucky charm for other athletes, as every event they attended ended in victory, this time the Spaniards failed to win, falling to the Dutch pair with partials of 21-15 in both sets.
Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia followed the match from the Eiffel Tower Stadium, enjoying a breathtaking view of the famous monument. A
As in previous days, both wore the Spanish Olympic team uniform, designed by the firm Joma for this edition.
Leonor wore a navy blue polo shirt with white pants, while Sofia opted for a white polo shirt and jeans.
Leonor and Sofia’s Olympic Games debut was last Saturday, marking their first appearance at an event of such magnitude.
Unlike other youngsters their age who attended in previous editions, for the princess and the infanta, Paris was their Olympic debut.
The Borbon sisters had the opportunity to witness one of the most anticipated matches, the doubles match between Nadal and Alcaraz, which ended with a victory for Spain. After the match, the sisters chatted with the two Spanish tennis players.
After the volleyball match, Leonor and Sofia attended the women’s individual sabre fencing bout.
Then the daughters of King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the Olympic Village to greet the Spanish athletes participating in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
For now, we can only wait to see where the young royals will appear next.
