As Princess Leonor approaches her 18th birthday, she is slowly building her jewelry collection, opting for youthful and fashionable pieces.
Although the future Queen will inevitably inherit valuable jewels steeped in history, she prefers costume jewelry designs.

At the recent Princess of Girona Awards, Leonor wore her most mature look to date, demonstrating her evolving sense of style.
The eldest daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia wore a striking green two-piece from the renowned Sevillian firm Cherubina.
The ensemble consisted of a draped bodice with puffed sleeves, an unexpected neckline, and a high-waisted skirt with a side slit and asymmetrical hemline.
As for footwear, she opted for Mint & Rose high-heeled platform sandals and a matching handbag, exuding confidence and sophistication.

To complete her ensemble, the Princess of Asturias adorned herself with a pair of Carolina Herrera costume jewelry earrings called Rosetta.
These rhodium-plated earrings feature crystal details and are made up of a flower at the top and another flower with four large petals at the bottom.
The Rosetta earrings, composed of 10% nacre, 30% zirconia, and 60% brass, are still on sale on the firm’s website at the modest price of $ 145.
Although Leonor opted for costume jewelry on this occasion, she had previously worn more substantial pieces.
Last year, at the same awards ceremony, she wore her first pair of delicate earrings.
They were white gold earrings with 0.32 carats of diamonds and Sky Blue natural topaz, made by the exclusive brand Luzz and sold exclusively at El Corte Inglés.
Originally priced at $ 1,460, the earrings were available at a 25% discount, totaling $ 1,080 when worn by the Princess.
Interestingly, Queen Letizia also opted to wear the same earrings months later during a visit to Croatia.
Nowadays, it is common to see Princess Leonor wearing costume jewelry or some pieces belonging to her mother.
The day before the Princess of Girona Awards, we saw her alongside Sofia wearing Gold & Roses earrings called Crawler Skyline, which are from Queen Letizia’s collection.
In addition, in the last edition of the Princess of Asturias Awards, she chose Chanel’s Plume earrings, valued at $ 6,900, also owned by the Queen.
Leonor had her ears pierced for the first time at the tender age of six in 2012. Since then, she has worn several designs.
The public first saw her wearing square diamond earrings on her first day of school at Santa Maria de los Rosales in September of that year.
A few months later, she swapped them for the iconic silver teddy bear earrings from the Catalan brand Tous.
Leonor continued to wear them until she switched to another pair from the same brand with white gold and diamond floral designs.
She chose these earrings for the momentous occasion of her father’s proclamation as King of Spain in June 2014, which also marked her automatic ascension as Princess of Asturias.
