To celebrate King Felipe and Queen Letizia’s 20th wedding anniversary, the Spanish Royal Family released a series of photos.
These images, shared by the Palacio de la Zarzuela, offer many details to analyze, from gestures to the iconic setting chosen for the session.
But a major focus is on the outfits.
For Princess Leonor, it’s clear she drew inspiration from her mother, Queen Letizia, for this family photo session, choosing a Zara blazer, sneakers, and even a ring on her index finger.
Princess Leonor’s Casual Style for Royal Anniversary Photos
Like Queen Letizia and Infanta Sofia, the heir to the throne chose a casual look for these special photos, following the same style with pants and a jacket.
However, unlike her mother and sister who opted for tweed, Leonor chose a design from Zara, a popular brand in the royal household.
Princess Leonor wore a light blue blazer from Zara’s ZW collection, priced at US$76.
This blazer has unique details like a single dark button in the front, a slightly rounded hem, and empty pockets on the sides and chest.
Princess Leonor’s outfit also included white pants, just like her mother’s.
She paired them with white sneakers, a style Queen Letizia has favored since a recent domestic accident.
Leonor chose the same pants and sneakers she wore nine months ago when she entered the Zaragoza Military Academy.
On that occasion, she also paired these items with blue, but wore a shirt instead of a blazer.
The sneakers are from Hugo Boss, a brand she has owned for years and which her mother also wears.
The white jeans have marked seams, a slightly flared hem, a slit, and frayed edges, giving a casual touch to the blazer. She completed the look with a basic white top.
Two more elements in Leonor’s look connect her with her mother.
Queen Letizia often wears rings on her index finger, a style choice not commonly seen but one she finds comfortable.
In these family photos, Leonor followed suit, wearing a silver ring over a centimeter wide on her index finger, standing out among her other discreet jewelry.
Additionally, Leonor wore gold earrings and a small piercing first seen in April 2022.
Queen Letizia had worn a similar piercing three months earlier during the Pascua Militar, surprising everyone.
Since cadets at the Military Academy cannot wear jewelry, Princess Leonor takes every opportunity, like this special photo session, to show off her collection.
