This Tuesday, August 6, Princess Leonor reached another milestone in her life: driving a car in public.
The daughter of Spain’s King Felipe and Queen Letizia was captured driving an SUV during the royal family’s vacation in Mallorca.
At the beginning of the year, it had already been reported that the Princess of Asturias was in the process of obtaining her driving license. Many specialized portals had anticipated that we would possibly see Leonor driving in summer on the streets of Palma de Mallorca.
Summer arrived and with it, the first photos of Leonor driving and in the seat was her sister, the Infanta Sofia while in the back seat was Queen Letizia and Queen Sofia.
The images, which came to light quickly went viral on social media and showed the heiress to the throne driving very happy and confident driving her family through the streets of Palma de Mallorca.

Many on social media wondered what car Princess Leonor was driving.
The car that Leonor was driving is a SEAT Ateca Style in metallic gray. A mid-range urban model that came out in 2016 and has received updates and upgrades over the years and is priced between $30K and $40K.
Princess Leonor’s car, is a popular choice in the compact SUV segment, as it offers a balanced combination of style, performance and technology.
One thing that was evident was that although Leonor is a novice driver, she was seen driving with ease and confidence.
Leonor, who turned 18 last October 31, has been taking important steps towards adulthood and getting her driver’s license was one of those steps, and she achieved it while at the General Military Academy in Zaragoza.
