Princess Leonor is about to experience a very special moment in her schedule. After weeks of focusing on the San Javier Air Academy, the heiress will make a public reappearance in Navarra, a land to which she is connected by a historic title: Princess of Viana.
This recognition, which Felipe VI also held, has its roots in the ancient Kingdom of Navarra and links Leonor to a legacy that dates back to the 15th century.

At the end of September, we will see her alongside the King and Queen on a tour that will pass through Pamplona, Viana, Tudela, and a highly symbolic location: the Monastery of Leyre.
According to the local press, the visit is expected to take place from September 25 to 27, although the Royal Household has yet to confirm the agenda.

What is clear is that this trip is steeped in tradition and significance, especially since it will be the Princess’s first official visit to this community.
The Monastery of Leyre deserves a special mention. The first kings of the ancient Kingdom of Pamplona are laid to rest in this enclave, and its Romanesque architecture makes it an almost untouched medieval gem.

Surrounded by oaks and holm oaks, and still inhabited by Benedictine monks, this space has been the setting for cultural ceremonies linked to the Crown for decades. The fact that Leonor is visiting for the first time, accompanied by her parents, adds emotional value.
This trip is another step for Leonor in her preparation, weaving her relationship with the territories and historical symbols of Spain. Navarra, with its significant historical weight and rich cultural heritage, will provide the perfect opportunity for her to connect with and be aware of this legacy.

It will be interesting to see how people receive her and, most importantly, how the young Princess connects with that part of her heritage.
