A 180 degree turn has given Leonor’s life since she began her first year of high school at UWC Atlantic College. The future queen of Spain has had to learn to fend for herself and start doing activities that she surely did not do in the Zarzuela palace.

The Queen of the Netherlands was asked about the experience in Wales of her daughter, Alexia, a companion of Princess Leonor, Queen Máxima of holland commented:
“It’s going very well. She had a hard time getting used to it because she had to do her own laundry, sometimes cook and study everything in English, so it was a bit tense at first. But if he concentrates, he can with all that.”
