Princess Leonor is experiencing exciting moments aboard the Juan Sebastian Elcano ship, which will take her to discover several countries around the world.
But before embarking on this great adventure, she is taking some time to visit some beautiful islands in Spain.
This Tuesday, January 21, the ship arrived in Las Palmas with Princess Leonor on board and plenty of security measures to ensure her well-being.
This port is the last one to touch Spanish soil before the ship sails to the American continent, something we already told you about here on RoyalFamily.news.
Undoubtedly, this crossing will be a great experience for all the students on the ship.
Embarrassing Moment for Princess Leonor
Upon arrival, just as happened in Tenerife, the entire crew lined up along the deck, facing the port and waving effusively as they took off their typical caps.
Once ashore, they organized before heading to their first destination on the island.
Thanks to the pleasant temperatures that prevail in the Canary Islands all year round, everyone wore their summer uniform: white pants and matching short-sleeved T-shirts.
In addition, the hat, an essential part of the naval dress uniform, which has striking gold details and the Navy’s coat of arms, stood out.
However, it was precisely with this peculiar accessory that Princess Leonor experienced a somewhat embarrassing moment.
It is tradition that, upon arriving in port, the crew salutes the shore by waving the hat with the right hand raised.
The Princess did so with enthusiasm, but when it came time to put on her hat, she encountered some problems and was unable to fix it properly on her head. At first, she even accidentally covered her eyes.
Quickly, Leonor had to readjust her hat, looking at her companions to check if everything was in place. A small slip that, come to think of it, is nothing unusual and can happen to anyone.
And it’s not the first time the Princess has had a mishap with her hat.
When she boarded the ship at the farewell with her parents, she also had a little mistake.
At that moment, when saying goodbye to those present at the port, she waved the hat with her left hand instead of her right. But, as a good companion, her friend at her side noticed and warned her to rectify her posture.
Anyway, these are moments that, although they may seem small, make these experiences even more memorable and, who knows, maybe Princess Leonor will laugh at these slips in the future. Adventures and anecdotes are the order of the day on this exciting trip.
