Princess Leonor’s Privileges at the Military Ceremony in Zaragoza
Although it was initially announced that she would be treated like any other cadet, certain details revealed her special status:
- 1. Prominent Position: During the event, Leonor stood a few meters to the right of her peers, symbolizing her distinct status.
- 2. Family Presence: After receiving her distinction, Leonor joined her parents and sister on the platform, rather than remaining with the other cadets.
- 3. Uniform Distinctions: The princess wore a braided golden cord, a detail not worn by her fellow cadets. Additionally, she had a distinction on her tie that highlighted her unique relevance.
This milestone marks the completion of her training in Zaragoza, and Leonor will continue her education at the Naval Academy in Marín (Pontevedra) and the Air Force Academy in San Javier (Murcia).
Her preparation aims toward her future role as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, a responsibility attributed to the head of state according to the Constitution.
