Last August 30 marked a new chapter in Princess Leonor’s life: her entrance to the Naval Academy of Marin.
Just one day after her admission, the heiress to the Spanish throne faced her first outing to sea, impeccably dressed in the black and white uniform.
The cameras captured the daughter of King Felipe VI first participating in a sports competition between brigades. That same day, she received a badge recognizing her, as well as other classmates, as a distinguished student.
Princess Leonor’s Naval Training: new photo revealed
Now this week, the official account of the Spanish Navy surprised with a new image of Leonor in full military training activity, side by side with her classmates.
“Winning Barlovento! As every week, the students of the Naval School go out to sea in the Ría de Pontevedra to carry out Maritime Instruction activities. The knowledge of the maritime environment is essential in their training as future Navy Officers,” shared the institution on Twitter.
The message was accompanied by three photos and in one of them, the Princess of Asturias can be seen wearing a safety vest, sailing with skill along with three other young people, demonstrating her commitment to her naval training.
Leonor’s arrival at the Escuela Naval de Marín took place on August 29 at seven o’clock in the evening, this time without the company of her family.
Unlike her entrance to the previous course, when she was accompanied by King Felipe, Queen Letizia and the Infanta Sofia, this time the princess arrived alone, with the determination to face her military training as a midshipman, a rank equivalent to ensign.
Since her entry, Leonor has been immersed in a strict military routine. Every morning, like her classmates, she gets up at 6:45 a.m., and after leaving her room spotless and dressing in her regulation uniform, she heads to the mess hall for breakfast between seven and seven-thirty.
As a third-year student, she enjoys the privilege of choosing her place at the table in the area reserved for midshipmen. By the light of the shared image, it is likely that this Wednesday’s naval training activity took place during the morning.
Princess Leonor, step by step, continues her preparation for the future, demonstrating her commitment to her responsibilities and her desire to serve her country from the heart of the Navy.
