On October 12, Spain celebrated its National Day. That day was marked by heavy rains that forced to suspend the traditional air parade, but the ground parade continued, and the Royal Family was present at the event in the Plaza de Neptuno.
Despite the inclement weather, all eyes were on Princess Leonor, who stood out not only for her presence, but also for the Navy dress uniform she wore, as part of her training at the Naval Military School.
Princess Leonor’s navy gala uniform
Leonor, who is currently training at the Naval Military School, attended the parade in the Navy dress uniform, known as the “14 buttons”.
This garment, of sober elegance, consisted of a navy blue frock coat with the insignia of first midshipman on the sleeves, over a white long-sleeved shirt with a semi-rigid collar.
Completing the ensemble was a pair of long pants instead of a skirt, a choice that allowed him greater comfort without sacrificing formality.
Her attire also included a belt, black knotted tie, white gloves, black socks and black shoes, along with the traditional white female Navy cap.
Throughout the ceremony, Leonor displayed an impeccable image, aligned with the strict uniform regulations of the Armed Forces.
Princess Leonor’s decorations
In addition to the uniform, the princess proudly wore the Golden Fleece, one of the most prestigious orders of chivalry that was awarded to her in 2018.
On her chest she wore the Grand Cross of the Order of Charles III, accompanied by the light blue sash, which completed the solemn and significant aspect of her attire.
However, the detail that attracted the most attention was the nudo llano, a golden cord that Leonor wore on the left sleeve.
This badge is awarded to those students who have stood out for their academic performance and skills in military maneuvers.
Sources close to the Naval Military School have commented that this is a recognition of Leonor’s effort and discipline during her first months of training.
Leonor not only impressed not only by her bearing and distinctions, but also by the fact that she has already begun to accumulate praise from her superiors at the Naval School.
Sources close to the center revealed to Monarquia Confidencial, that the princess has demonstrated an excellent attitude and ability to adapt to the challenges of her training.
