Princess Leonor of Spain started 2024 with a very special family event.
The daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia accompanied her parents to visit her maternal grandfather, Jesús Ortiz, with whom they have shared a tradition since her birth.
It is the “roscón de reyes”, a typical sweet eaten in Spain on January 6, the day of the Three Kings.
Princess Leonor on Epiphany Day
The Princess of Asturias and her parents arrived at the home of Jesús Ortiz in a car driven by the King, with the Queen as co-pilot.
The only one who missed the meeting was the Infanta Sofía, who was studying in Wales.
Leonor’s younger sister spent Christmas Eve at the Zarzuela Palace with her family, but had to return to England to continue her academic studies.
Leonor, for her part, will soon resume her studies at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, where she is in her first year.
The heir to the throne was praised for her participation in the Military Parade, a military event that she attended for the first time with her parents.
