In 2024, her agenda will be marked by the demanding military training she is receiving, as well as the commitments inherent in her role as Princess of Asturias.
We reveal to you the key dates that will mark the calendar of the heiress to the Spanish throne in the coming months.
Princess Leonor’s schedule in 2024
The year has begun with a bang for Princess Leonor, fully immersed in her military training at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza.
Her first important event took place last Tuesday, February 20, when she celebrated the 141st anniversary of the General Military Academy of Zaragoza where she is undergoing her military training.
During his stay in Zaragoza, he has practiced with explosives, assault rifle shooting and strenuous marches, forging a solid physical and mental preparation.
Her exceptional academic and military merits earned her a diploma and praise from her superiors, who described her as a “brilliant pupil”.
In addition to her military training, Princess Leonor will have to attend to her family obligations and commitments as Princess of Asturias.
In March, she will participate in new military maneuvers and will enjoy a few days of rest during the Easter vacations with her parents, King Felipe and Queen Letizia, and her sister, Infanta Sofia.
In May, she will take her second term exams and, in all likelihood, will attend the celebration of the Armed Forces Day in Oviedo on June 1.
The summer will bring with it the closing of her training in Zaragoza on July 15, where she will receive the appointment of lady ensign cadet.
After a well-deserved vacation in Mallorca, the Princess will enter in August as a midshipman at the Naval School of Marin (Pontevedra), embarking on the training ship Juan Sebastian de Elcano.
Throughout the year, Leonor will not neglect her commitments as Princess of Asturias.
She is expected to attend events such as the Princess of Girona Foundation Awards, the Princess of Asturias Awards in Oviedo and Columbus Day, where she will probably preside over the parade of the Armed Forces with her parents.
Despite the intense schedule, Princess Leonor will find time to celebrate important family dates, such as the 20th wedding anniversary of King Felipe and Queen Letizia, Queen Letizia’s birthday and her own 19th birthday on October 31.
In short, 2024 will be a year of great challenges and responsibilities for Princess Leonor, who will have to combine her military training with her duties as heir to the Spanish throne, preparing for the future that awaits her as the future Queen of Spain.
