Just six months after beginning her military training, Princess Leonor, heir to the throne of Spain, recently participated in recreational and sports activities within the same Military Academy of Zaragoza.
Specifically, Leonor participated in the Interacademic Olympic Games, excelling in disciplines such as fencing and volleyball.
Princess Leonor of Spain’s skills
Last January, Leonor competed alongside her academy classmates in a Military Academies Sports Championship for Officers, organized at the General Air Academy of San Javier.
This event brought together 14 sports disciplines and a total of 384 competitors ready to give their all.
As seen in leaked photographs, the princess practiced fencing and volleyball, winning the silver medal in fencing with her team from the Military Academy of Zaragoza.
Infanta Sofia’s sister was seen smiling, wearing a T-shirt with the national colors and sneakers.
This shows the hidden athletic skills that Leonor possesses, coming from her grandfather Juan Carlos I and her father Felipe VI.
Although already suspected, this is the first time that her talent with the sword has been proven.
Leonor’s sporting achievement motivates her to continue preparing physically and mentally in her military training, of which she still has 24 months to go before starting her university studies.
These championships give her a break from the demands of the battlefield.
The successful participation of the next queen of Spain in inter-academic events highlighted her capabilities beyond fulfilling her royal duties.
Leonor is ready to face any challenge, as a worthy heir to the Crown
