In May 2023, Princess Leonor de Borbón completed her high school studies, marking a significant milestone in her life as the daughter of the King and Queen of Spain, Felipe VI and Letizia Ortiz.
In October of that same year, upon coming of age, she took the most important step in her role as heir to the Spanish throne. Following in her father’s footsteps, Princess Leonor embarked on military training.
In August 2023, she began her training at the Zaragoza Academy. However, this is only the beginning.
Princess Leonor’s Responsibilities
According to reports in the Spanish press, in 2024, Leonor will join the Spanish Navy Academy for the 2024-2025 course.
Although her training will be shorter than that of other members of the royal family, including her father and grandfather, she will face unique challenges.
Subsequently, Leonor must attend the General Air Academy in San Javier between 2025 and 2026 to obtain the rank of aviation lieutenant. Her training will include mastering air transport and parachuting.
But that’s not all. After completing her military training, the sister of Infanta Sofia will have to make decisions about her university education.
What will Princess Leonor study at university?
Although it has not yet been revealed which career path the princess will choose, speculation suggests that she could follow a similar educational trajectory to her father, Felipe VI.
He earned a law degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid and later obtained a master’s degree in International Relations from the Edmund Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in the United States.
Princess Leonor is destined for a royal future, and her rigorous preparation and academic choices will set her on the path to that role with responsibility and dedication.
