Princess Leonor of Spain marked an important milestone in her life this October 31, 2023, by swearing allegiance to the Spanish Constitution on her 18th birthday.
All eyes were on the heir to the throne when she arrived with her family at the Congress of Deputies for the ceremony, with royal observers eager to see her styling for this momentous occasion.
Leonor did not disappoint, opting for an elegant and sophisticated white jacket and trouser suit that marked a style befitting the future Queen of Spain.
Princess Leonor’s styling at the oath to the Constitution
The princess arrived at the Congress of Deputies accompanied by her younger sister, Infanta Sofia in a royal Rolls Royce. Upon her arrival, she met with her parents, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.
The suit, custom-made by Madrid-based tailor Serna, consisted of a double-breasted jacket with peak lapels, two buttons, and side pockets.
It was paired with wide-leg pants with a slight flare at the ankle. Bright white was the perfect choice for the princess, following in the footsteps of her mother, who has chosen white for important milestones.
As for her feet, Leonor wore white Lodi pumps with a 7.5 cm heel and rubber soles for comfort during the long ceremony.
Leonor complemented the elegant outfit with minimalist styling and subtle accessories. She wore her blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, revealing her face, and simple sparkling earrings.
Her makeup was natural and discreet, with a soft blush on the cheeks and lightly lined eyes.
The only touch of color was provided by the red sash she wore over her left shoulder, a symbol of her membership in the Order of the Golden Fleece.
The minimalist style allowed the white suit to take center stage on this historic day. Leonor behaved with elegance and poise as she swore allegiance to the Constitution.
After this important act, the Princess of Asturias will assume more responsibilities and public functions on behalf of the Spanish monarchy.
