The Spanish royal family celebrates this October 31, a special event: Princess Leonor has turned 19 years old.
This year, the crown princess will celebrate her birthday in a very different environment than last year, as she continues her maritime military training at the Marín Naval Academy.
Since coming of age, Leonor has transformed her style, evolving in line with her growing role.
To honor this special day, let’s look back at four business outfits that have defined her style in this new chapter.
Princess Leonor in Suits
We start with Leonor’s latest eye-catching ensemble at the recent Princess of Asturias Awards. Traditionally, Leonor had been opting for dresses on the blue carpet at the Campoamor Theater, so it was a surprise to see her in an elegant two-piece suit.
A fitted look with a fitted blazer and straight-cut pants, combined with a vest-style top with buttons and a V-neckline. She completed the outfit with GuaGua low heels from Pinkchic and Letizia’s elegant earrings.
Leonor in a light blue suit by Pedro del Hierro
Leonor has proven that the suit is her favorite choice for important occasions.
Just a day before the Asturias Awards, at her ceremony to receive the title of Honorary Mayoress of Oviedo and the Principality’s Medal of Honor, she chose a sky blue suit by Pedro del Hierro.
She combined it with a black V-neck sweater, black heels and Gold & Roses earrings from her mother’s collection.
Princess Leonor in a red suit by Carolina Herrera
For her first solo international engagement in July, which took her to Lisbon, Leonor opted for another elegant outfit, this time in vibrant red by Carolina Herrera.
She paired this fitted ensemble with a white top and diamond and ruby earrings by Gold & Roses, which gave her an extra touch of elegance.
Leonor de Borbón in a white suit
Perhaps her most emblematic outfit was the one she wore on her 18th birthday, a symbolic day on which she swore allegiance to the Constitution as Princess of Asturias.
On that occasion, she relied on Sastrería Serna, the same tailor that makes King Felipe’s military uniforms, to create a sophisticated white double-breasted jacket and tailored pants. She completed the look with nude Lodi heels and elegant Gold & Roses earrings.
Each of these looks has reinforced Princess Leonor’s evolution into a hard-working young woman ready for the responsibilities that await her.
