Princess Leonor arrived at the Military Academy of Zaragoza with a mixture of enthusiasm, and nervousness.
Dressed in white jeans, sneakers, a sky blue shirt, and with her hair tied back, she walked alongside her parents and her sister, the Infanta Sofia, ready to begin her training as part of her path to becoming the future Queen of Spain.

The princess took the big step this August 17, 2023, as she walked through the gates of the academy.
There, surrounded by the support of her classmates and teachers, she will enter a rigorous training program that will prepare her to become a capable and committed leader.
According to several Spanish portals, the princess will have the opportunity to share her military training with 612 other cadets, 140 of whom are women.
The young heiress arrived at the academy in mid-morning, during her entrance, she complied with the established protocol, which included the signing of the honor book of the General Military Academy.
Upon her arrival, she was received by the general director of the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, Manuel Pérez López.
Princess Leonor expressed that she is excited and nervous, while the King commented that it is normal. “You have to have a little bit of nerves,” said the monarch.

Her parents, King Felipe VI, and Queen Letizia, accompanied her with pride and affection. The Spanish monarch wore an impeccable military suit, while the queen wore an elegant two-piece outfit in beige, complemented with flat ballerina shoes.
On the other hand, the Infanta Sofia chose not to overshadow Leonor’s big day and wore clothes that she had already used on previous occasions.
She wore a printed blouse from Zara combined with white jeans, in a subtle gesture of homage to the outfit of her older sister, who also wore pants of the same color.

Leonor, the first woman in the royal family to receive military training, will devote the next three years to her training.
Following in her father’s footsteps, she will also go through other academies, such as that of the Navy, where she will embark on the training ship Juan Sebastián Elcano. In addition, he will join the Air Academy to learn to fly fighter planes and helicopters.
