La Zarzuela Palace was the scene of a special meeting this Wednesday, where King Felipe and Queen Letizia received representatives of the United World Schools.
Although Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia were not scheduled to appear on the royal agenda, both decided to join the event, given their connection with the UWC Atlantic College in Wales.
The audience brought together trustees, sponsors and students, both those newly admitted for 2024 and those returning after their two-year stay in Wales. Some of these students are friends of the young princesses, which made the occasion even more special.
Princess Leonor’s new black and white dress
Princess Leonor took this opportunity to show off her fashion sense in a new dress from Swedish brand & Other Stories.
The beautiful dress has a semi-long black and white design with a botanical print and puffed sleeves, details that give it a fresh and modern air.
Made from linen, the dress is ideal for summer, and features a square neckline and a long slit in the skirt that add a daring touch.
This linen midi dress with puffed sleeves is 50% off and available online for $79.99, it’s a stylish and affordable option.
To complete her outfit, Leonor chose espadrilles from the Murcian firm Calzados Picón, known for their handmade craftsmanship and natural materials.
These espadrilles, initially designed exclusively for her, feature a lightweight cork wedge and a cushioned insole, combining comfort and style.
Leonor complemented her look with earrings borrowed from her mother’s jewelry box, a special gift from the first lady of Croatia.
This jewelry, called Barbanski rančin, is a replica of an ancient design from the Istria region, protected as a Cultural Asset in Croatia.
The earrings, handmade in gold-plated silver, were a much-appreciated gift for Queen Letizia, although Leonor has worn them the most since.
Sofia and Letizia: Contrasting Styles
Meanwhile, Infanta Sofia opted for a vibrant red Mango dress with an asymmetrical skirt that showed off her youthful personality.
For her part, Queen Letizia, who had participated in a previous audience with students receiving scholarships from the BBVA Microfinance Foundation, chose a blue suit from Woman Limited by El Corte Inglés, paired with white sneakers by Vivobarefoot.
An End of Cycle
With this audience, Princess Leonor concludes a series of official engagements that began after her graduation as an ensign.
During this time, she has visited several places in Spain, including Talar, Lloret de Mar, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, as well as Portugal for her first official trip, in addition to her participation in Marin.
