Princess Leonor’s latest public appearance has generated quite a stir.
The future queen of Spain disembarked from the ship Juan Sebastian Elcano on January 21 in Las Palmas, one of the Spanish islands.
This visit marks her last stop on the mainland before embarking on an extensive Atlantic voyage to the American continent, as we reported here on RoyalFamily.news.
However, what has really caught the attention and concern of many is the surprising appearance of bruises on Leonor’s arms.
What happened to Princess Leonor’s arms?
As soon as they arrived and docked, the princess and her companions lined up on the ship’s deck to greet the public on the dock, as happened at their previous stop.
All eyes were focused, as expected, on the daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia when she raised her arm to wave, a moment that was quickly captured by the media.
What caught everyone’s attention, however, was the visible bruise on her right arm.
As she waved from the deck, the bruise became evident, and speculation did not take long to emerge.
Although the royal household has not yet issued an official statement on the matter, it seems that the princess got the bruise during some maneuvers on the training ship Juan Sebastián Elcano, where she will live for the next six months and visit eight countries, including the USA.
Before Princess Leonor started her trip, she had already done some maneuvers, even climbing 50 meters high on one of the ship’s masts.
These types of activities will also have to be practiced during sailing, which presents an additional challenge due to the constant movement and balance required.
The concern for Princess Leonor’s health and well-being is fully justified, but we must also recognize the courage with which she faces this new chapter in her life.
