Princess Leonor, heir to the Spanish throne, is determined to continue her military training, following in the footsteps of her father, King Felipe VI.
With a palpable commitment to her preparation, the Princess immerses herself in learning essential military skills.
Princess Leonor’s new military training
Before the Easter break, Princess Leonor will undergo an intense week of training on the maneuver field.
This period is not only crucial to her education, but also marks the second practical phase of her military training.
During this week, the Princess and her fellow military academy students will live in individual tents and subsist on combat rations.
This training period will culminate on Saturday, March 16, and will build on the experience they gained in February.
In the field, they will face topographical challenges and adverse weather conditions, including piercing cold.
Day and night activities will not only test their surveying skills, but will also include urban combat exercises, marksmanship, and maneuvers designed to strengthen their physical fitness, stamina, and leadership skills.
This phase of training is more than military preparation; it is character building for the future monarch, demonstrating her ability to lead by example and determination.
