After her arrival in Chile, Princess Leonor has already begun to enjoy her short visit.
The princess, aboard the Elcano, arrived in Punta Arenas ahead of schedule. She and her traveling companions were initially scheduled to arrive on Thursday, March 20, but due to somewhat unstable weather in the region, they arrived a day earlier, as previously reported by Royal Family.news.
Since her arrival in this remote region, the 19-year-old princess has been exploring Punta Arenas, located in the heart of Chilean Patagonia. She appears to have integrated seamlessly with the rest of the crew and is making the most of her time.
Princess Leonor’s Plans in Chile
According to Hola! and other media outlets, the princess wasted no time and went out to explore the port city, renowned for its history and spectacular scenery.
On social media, specifically the Instagram account Spainsroyals, a photo was shared of the princess in a bar in the region, dressed in winter attire.
To combat the Patagonian cold, which ranges from 39 to 46 degrees Fahrenheit, Leonor opted for a chic yet practical winter look: jeans, a grayish sweater, a dark coat, a blue plaid scarf, and a hair bow that revealed discreet silver earrings. A simple but stylish outfit.
The stopover in Punta Arenas appears to be more relaxed, without the official events typical of other ports. The Elcano will remain there until Sunday, when it will set sail for Valparaiso, where it is expected to arrive on April 4.
