Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently celebrated their daughter Lilibet’s birthday with a private party.
Born on June 4, 2021, in California, Lilibet was named in honor of her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, while her middle name, Diana, pays tribute to Harry’s late mother.
This year’s celebration was a quiet affair. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex offered a glimpse into their personal lives by sharing a clip from one of Lilibet’s earlier birthdays.
The footage, taken at Frogmore Cottage, was featured in their Netflix docuseries.
Fans quickly noticed a striking resemblance between Lilibet and a member of the Royal Family.
On X, one fan remarked on how much Lilibet looks like her late grandmother, Princess Diana.
They posted: “Happy Birthday Princess Lilli. You look so much like your grandmother, Princess Diana.” Others on X shared this sentiment. One user commented: “I am convinced Lilibet will grow up to look just like Diana.” Another said: “Lilibet looks 100% like her grandma (Princess Diana).”
Additional comments echoed these observations. One user noted, “Archie looks like Meghan, and Lilibet looks like Diana’s family,” while another added, “The only granddaughter that resembles the late Princess Diana is Princess Lilibet of Sussex. Princess Lilibet inherited her grandmother’s blue eyes, face shape, and smile.”
Ahead of Lilibet’s birthday, Meghan provided a touching glimpse into her daughter’s personality during a visit to the Lightway Academy in Abuja.
Engaging in a conversation about mental health, the Duchess of Sussex shared: “Our daughter, Lili, she’s much, much tinier than you guys. She’s about to turn three and a few weeks ago, she looked at me and saw her reflection in my eyes. She said, ‘Mama, I see me in you.’ While she was speaking literally, those words held a deeper meaning for me. I realized, yes, I do see me in you, and you see me in you. And as I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well.”
