Despite recovering from abdominal surgery on January 16, Kate Middleton has not neglected her responsibilities as Princess of Wales.
This has been demonstrated by the appointment of her new private secretary, a key position in her official activities.
It is a surprising change, since the British monarchy has maintained a discreet silence about the health of the wife of Prince William.
Who is the new private secretary of Kate Middleton?
The man chosen to fill the post of private secretary to the princess is Lieutenant Colonel Tom White, a man with a close relationship to the royal family and a distinguished military career.
White, 36, was Queen Elizabeth’s squire for four years and served several tours of duty in Afghanistan, where he was decorated for bravery.
White replaces Hannah Cockburn-Logie, who resigned for personal reasons a few months after Queen Elizabeth’s death.
Since then, the princess has been assisted by Natalie Borrows, her personal secretary, who even accompanied her during her hospitalization.
Kate Middleton’s new private secretary will be responsible for organizing and coordinating the Princess’s schedule, as well as preparing her speeches and press releases. He will also be responsible for managing her public reappearance, scheduled for April.
