Although royal fashion usually calls for elegance and formality, Queen Camilla has occasionally embraced her most casual staple: jeans.
The wife of King Charles III has worn her beloved jeans to low-key special events to channel her more relaxed side.
Wearing jeans is a symbolic break from the rigid royal style.

One of the last times Queen Camilla resorted to her skinny jeans was to attend the Braemar Literary Festival in Scotland as president of her book club, The Queen’s Reading Room.
On that occasion, she paired the dark jeans with a blue blazer, a knitted vest, and an impeccable white button-down shirt for an elegant yet relaxed look.

The outfit was a departure from the formal midi and jacket dresses Camilla wore on her historic official trip to France with King Charles III.
The jeans allowed the Queen to unleash her more authentic and jovial side.
In fact, Camilla wanted to wear jeans for her 70th birthday portraits taken in the gardens of Clarence House, although the casual chic look was not the official one.
But she has acknowledged her deep affection for jeans, admitting in a 2020 interview that she is very happy wearing jeans.
The Queen said that jeans facilitate a very specific way of living, alluding to the freedom and comfort they represent compared to the constraints of her royal role.
Although she has rarely been seen in jeans at public events, Camilla has worn them on significant occasions to symbolically reconnect with her pre-royal life and passions.
Her denim ensembles are a breath of fresh air in the midst of a protocol-driven existence.
