Christmas is just around the corner, and with it comes many traditions. Amidst twinkling lights and holiday treats, greeting cards hold a special place.
This December 8, King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined this custom by sharing their Christmas card on social networks, generating great enthusiasm among their followers.
King Charles’ Christmas card
The image chosen for this occasion was captured last April in the gardens of Buckingham Palace, in a session by the renowned photographer Millie Pilkington.
In the photograph, which is also the main one on their official profile, the monarchs can be seen posing with a relaxed but elegant attitude.
“Christmas is coming,” they wrote on their Instagram account next to the image. In a matter of hours, the publication accumulated thousands of “likes” and hundreds of comments, highlighting messages of admiration and affection for the royal couple.
One of the most prominent comments described the postcard as a “beautiful and relaxed photo of their majesties.” Even Millie Pilkington joined in the reactions, thanking them for choosing her work for such a significant moment.
Queen Camilla opted for a klein blue dress, one of her favorite shades, designed by Fiona Clare. It is an outfit that stands out for being elegant and timeless.
For his part, King Charles III wore a light gray suit with a classic cut. The double-breasted jacket, combined with a handkerchief and blue tie, completed a discreet but impeccable outfit.
This Christmas gesture comes in a year full of challenges for the British royal family. On the one hand, Charles III himself was diagnosed with cancer, and on the other, Princess Kate suffered from the same disease, although she successfully completed her treatment in the summer.
With this postcard, the King and Queen welcome the festive season, showing that the Christmas spirit remains alive.
