Queen Camilla relives her wedding day with a gesture of love in Rome during her wedding anniversary with King Charles.
This April 9, while fulfilling official engagements in Rome as part of their state visit, King Charles III and Queen Camilla discreetly celebrated a very special moment: their 20 years of marriage.
And they did so with a gesture loaded with symbolism, especially on the Queen’s part.
Queen Camilla Rewears Wedding Dress
Camilla surprised by appearing in a customized version of the outfit she wore on her civil wedding day in 2005. Although it was an adaptation, the essence of the original look was still present.
The coat, one of the main elements, was lengthened for this occasion, and certain details were removed from the original design, resulting in an elegant, sober and deeply meaningful piece.
The choice was not accidental. According to British reporters in Italy, it had already been reported in advance that the Queen was planning to pay tribute to this special day through her attire.
Although many expected a nod at the gala dinner in the form of jewelry or accessories, Camilla chose to go ahead and do it in broad daylight.
The outfit in question, originally white and with soft lines, was not the most iconic of the link. In fact, that day, Camilla wore two different outfits: one for the civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall and another, more remembered, for the religious blessing afterwards.
However, it is the former that has now been brought back to life, adapted to the current context, but charged with the same emotion.
And to complement it, she once again defied the superstition that links pearls with tears in marriage. As in 2005, she opted for this type of jewelry, but this time with even more determination, wearing her characteristic three-strand necklace with diamond brooch.
For many, that detail says more than a thousand words. Because if anything has characterized Camila over the years, it has been her ability to stand her ground, even when the road has been uphill.
