Queen Camilla’s gesture in Samoa has set off alarm bells: Is something wrong with King Charles?

The recent tour by King Charles III and Queen Camilla has attracted considerable interest, not only because it is the first after Charles’s coronation, but also because of his cancer diagnosis, which has generated concern in the media and among the public.

The 75-year-old monarch and his 77-year-old wife arrived in Samoa after a visit to Australia, where there were special but also tense moments, including a protest by a female lawmaker who disqualified the king.

Despite these incidents, the tour has been generally successful. However, the King’s health has begun to raise concerns.

Charles III and Camilla are in the final stages of their trip to Oceania, a tour that has had to be adjusted because of the King’s health, who has had to interrupt his cancer treatment.

Queen Camilla has attracted attention during her arrival in Samoa, walking with a serious countenance, a far cry from the cheerfulness she has shown at other stages of the trip.

Her attire, an elegant pale pink tunic and white linen trousers, failed to hide her worried expression.

This change in the queen’s attitude has raised concerns among her hosts, who have noticed her sadness.

While her seriousness may be attributed to accumulated fatigue, it could also reflect her concern for her husband’s condition.

The recent stay in Australia, marked by tensions related to Republican movements, has added pressure to the situation.

Camilla has been by Charles’s side at all times, even absenting herself from engagements to care for him during bouts of discomfort.

The king’s fatigue was also evident on his arrival in Samoa, but that was not the only time the monarch has shown fatigue.

During his visit to the opera in Sydney, both he and Camilla required mutual support to negotiate the stairs. Although they managed to descend safely, the effort was remarkable.

In the end, the Queen, overcome by fatigue, opted to remove her shoes before boarding the Admiral Hudson.

In short, the royal tour not only represents a diplomatic engagement, but has become a mirror of the personal concerns faced by the couple, especially at such a delicate time as this.

Their togetherness and support for each other is a constant, even if the weight of their health is a challenge on this high-profile trip.
