In early May, Queen Letizia suffered an unfortunate domestic accident that resulted in a fracture of one of the phalanges in her right foot.

Following medical recommendations, she opted to wear sneakers for several weeks, thus joining the barefoot movement.

However, as her recovery progressed, she began to incorporate different types of footwear, such as the elegant low-heeled sandals she wore recently at the Naval Academy in Marin.

This Wednesday, during audiences at La Zarzuela Palace, the Queen decided to return to her trusty sneakers.

It is possible that this return to sneakers is due to the discomfort she experienced on Tuesday in Marin. On that occasion, accompanied by King Felipe and Princess Leonor, Letizia debuted a navy blue Carolina Herrera dress, complemented by comfortable sandals from & Other Stories.

Despite her careful choice, at certain moments she looked uncomfortable, and before the ceremony concluded she had to sit down to relieve the pain in her foot.

A day later, the Queen opted for sneakers for Wednesday’s audiences.

The Queen of Spain first met alone with young Colombians and Peruvians of limited resources who will be able to access university thanks to a scholarship from the BBVA Microfinance Foundation (FMBBVA).

Later, together with her family, she participated in a meeting with the Board of Trustees of the Spanish Committee of United World Colleges Foundation, the organization to which UWC Atlantic College in Wales belongs, where Princess Leonor studied and where the infant Sofia is currently studying.

To avoid any discomfort, Letizia opted for shoes from the British firm Vivobarefoot, specifically the Geo Court III model, made from sustainably sourced leather.

According to the description on the brand’s website, “the Geo Court III is for those who move barefoot and want to find their fluidity”.

The Queen debuted this model during the presentation of the Barco de Vapor and Gran Angular awards, and seems to have found in them the ideal footwear for most of her official engagements.

As for the outfit, Letizia rescued from her closet a blue outfit from El Corte Inglés, from the Woman Limited line.

This suit, made of a blend of linen and viscose, is composed of an oversize silhouette jacket with single button closure and two plastron pockets. It is priced at $250.

As for jewelry, Letizia opted for classic earrings from the Spanish firm Gold & Roses, the Double Dagger, made of white gold and diamonds and valued at $ 3,170.
