Queen Letizia did not want to miss such a special day for her eldest daughter, Leonor de Borbón.
This Tuesday, July 16, the King and Queen traveled with the heir to the throne to Marín, in Galicia, where the Naval Academy is located, which will be the residence of the Princess of Asturias next year.
For this occasion, the Queen of Spain opted for a sailor look, highlighting a new knitted dress by Carolina Herrera, combined with comfortable heeled sandals and pearl earrings.
The King and Queen of Spain and Queen Leonor arrived at the Naval Academy in Marín. While King Felipe wore the white uniform of the Navy and the Princess of Asturias wore the uniform of the Army, the only one she has so far after her year at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza.
The three presided over the ceremony of delivery of Royal Dispatches to the new officers of the Navy, coinciding with the celebration of the Day of Carmen, patron saint of the Spanish Navy.
Queen Letizia’s style in the Naval Academy
The Queen wore a CH Carolina Herrera dress with an evasé cut, made in knit and jacquard.
This sleeveless model, with a marked waist and midi length, presented the initials of the firm in the right abdomen area.
With sober and elegant lines, Letizia added a special touch with her accessories, starting with the shoes, already baptized as the new “Letizios”.
After several weeks wearing sneakers due to a fracture in her right foot, the Queen finally stepped back into heels, opting for comfortable sandals.
These sandals, from the Swedish firm & Other Stories, had already been worn in Lloret de Mar the previous week. In nude color, with buckle closure, ankle strap, open toe and block heel, they are ideal for Letizia’s comfort. They are priced at $100.
Accessories and Jewelry
The handbag of choice was an Adolfo Dominguez handbag in nude leather that the Queen has owned since 2010 and has recently worn again, proving that fashion can be timeless.
She completed her look with earrings by Tous, made up of a sapphire top from which a freshwater pearl dangles, and her usual Coreterno ring.
A Busy Week
This week has been a busy one for the Queen. After meeting with the Spanish national team on Monday for their Eurocup victory and visiting Marin on Tuesday, Letizia will receive in audience on Wednesday a representation of the Microfinanzas foundation and will attend the Mariano de Cavia awards ceremony on Thursday.
