On a warm Madrid night, the King and Queen of Spain decided to enjoy an informal dinner in the heart of the capital.
After bidding farewell to Infanta Sofía, who left for Wales to continue her studies, King Felipe and Queen Letizia opted for a quiet evening at La Lonja del Mar, a well-known restaurant in central Madrid.
What caught the attention of onlookers wasn’t just the presence of the royals, but Queen Letizia’s casual outfit. “She looked like just another tourist strolling through Madrid,” remarked a surprised witness.
Queen Letizia’s Style in Central Madrid
The Queen wore a white Ibiza-style blouse with delicate embroidery and puffed sleeves, paired with loose-fitting beige jeans.
But the true star of the look was a crochet bag that didn’t go unnoticed. This accessory, by the brand Deco Etxe, had already caused a sensation during a previous appearance by the Queen in Mallorca.
Notably, within minutes, the bag fell victim to the ‘Letizia effect’ and sold out, confessed the brand’s designer.
Completing her outfit, the Queen chose flat sandals by the brand Trenza. This footwear, in addition to being a practical choice due to the discomfort the Queen has experienced with her feet, also shows her support for emerging Spanish brands.
After dinner, the King and Queen were seen strolling peacefully through the streets of the Madrid de los Austrias, blending in with passersby like any other couple.
“Seeing them like this, so relaxed and approachable, you momentarily forget that they are the King and Queen of Spain,” commented a waiter from a nearby bar.
Without a doubt, the royals enjoy the simple pleasures of everyday life just like any other couple.
This informal outing marks a brief respite in the busy lives of the monarchs, who will soon resume their official commitments.
