Queen Letizia traveled to Barcelona to fulfill an official act, a significant visit after years of absence alone in the city due to the independence conflict.
With the passage of time, the royal family has begun to increase its presence in Catalonia and that has been seen throughout the month of July.
Princess Leonor has visited three of the four Catalan provinces: first in Lleida for a military event in Talarn, then in Sant Feliú de Llobregat, Barcelona, to see the workshop of artist Jaume Plensa, and finally in Lloret de Mar, at events related to the Princess of Girona Awards.
Two weeks later, her mother, Queen Letizia, traveled to Catalonia to attend the annual meeting of directors of Cervantes Institute centers, which was held at the City Hall, in the heart of the city.

For this occasion, the Queen of Spain has attended an event in Barcelona, wearing a floral shirt dress by Carolina Herrera, perfect for summer.
Specifically, it is a midi-length dress and is made of a crepe de chine mixed with silk, with a fitted body and a skirt with volume and front pleats that contrast with its floral print.
It features a shirt collar, hidden button closure, long sleeves with shirt cuffs, pearl cufflinks, side pockets and a bow at the waist that completes the look.
The mother of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia has chosen a bag also from Carolina Herrera, the Satchel model, which is one of the most iconic of the brand.
This leather bag with interchangeable handles is distinguished by the metallic initials of the firm on the flap, a detail created to celebrate 35 years of history of the house.
As for jewelry, Letizia wore 18-karat white gold earrings with 0.13-carat diamonds and freshwater cultured pearls.
Notably, she debuted these earrings in 2015 and has since worn them on many occasions.
To complete her look, the Queen opted for comfortable wide-heeled, low-heeled Hugo Boss sandals in white.
These sandals are made of nappa leather, with a thin strap at the ankle and a padded upper, with a 5 cm heel.
Their original price was $270, but they are currently discounted to $155.
This has been the last act of Queen Letizia before traveling to Paris. From Thursday, together with the King, she will participate in various activities related to the start of the 2024 Olympic Games.
Then the Spanish consort will travel on Sunday to Mallorca to preside over the Atlantida film festival.
