Queen Letizia keeps up with her schedule despite fracturing a toe on her right foot.
This Wednesday morning, alongside the King, she was seen at the National Police anniversary event, wearing comfortable shoes as advised by doctors.
She paired them with an elegant houndstooth patterned jacket and basic white pants, along with minimalistic jewelry.
Queen Letizia’s style at the National Police anniversary
The King and Queen arrived at the Parade Ground of the Royal Palace of Madrid to preside over the central event marking the bicentenary of the National Police.
This anniversary commemorates significant moments in the National Police’s history, its public image, the sense of belonging among its members, and its recognition as a leading operator in public security, both nationally and internationally.
For this event, the Queen retrieved a jacket she has owned for years but continues to impress whenever she wears it.
It’s a black and white houndstooth blazer with decorative buttons, from a now-defunct brand, Uterqüe, which was part of the luxury Inditex group that closed its doors a few years ago.
In a strategic move, Amancio Ortega’s empire integrated Uterqüe into Massimo Dutti, and by February 2022, all 80 Uterqüe stores worldwide had closed.
Nevertheless, Queen Letizia still wears the garments she had in her closet, like this blazer.
Since debuting the blazer in November 2019 for a trip to Cuba, she has always paired it with black pants.
The first time with basic ones, the second in January 2020 at a meeting with FEDER, with leather leggings, and in March 2021, for an event of the Princess of Girona Foundation in Toledo, she chose wide-leg pants below the knee by Hugo Boss.
However, this time, she opted for basic white pants, perhaps to match her sneakers, which offer comfort and are ideal for her swift recovery.
The Queen wore the same white sneakers she wore at her previous event, the presentation of the ‘Youth Literature Awards’.
The sneakers are from the British brand Vivobarefoot, specifically the Geo Court III model, made from consciously sourced leather.
According to the brand’s website, “the Geo Court III is for those who move barefoot and seek their flow. Made in Portugal with soft premium leather, these sneakers are inspired by tennis shoes, allowing you to channel your energy and move with ease.”
There were no surprises in the jewelry department; the Queen wore white gold and diamond button earrings, from which she usually hangs her Australian pearls, and the Coreterno love ring.
With this event, the Queen concludes her week’s agenda. We’ll see what the next week holds and if she’s gradually recovering.
