Felipe VI and Letizia celebrate today, June 19, a very special day. It is the ninth anniversary of their accession to the Spanish throne.
Coinciding with this anniversary, the royal couple received a visit from their Jordanian counterparts, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan.
The Jordanian sovereigns spent the day with the Spanish monarchs. The last time they saw each other was during the coronation of King Carlos III last May, an event that brought together a significant part of the royal community from around the world.
Felipe and Letizia were invited to the wedding of Hussein and Rajwa, the eldest son of the Jordanian royals, on June 1 in Jordan. However, they delegated their attendance to the emeritus kings.
Despite not attending the celebration, the relationship between the Spanish monarchs and the Hashemite royals is exceptional, so they organized an entertaining visit that included a visit to the National Heritage Employment Workshop Schools and a lunch at the Royal Palace.
The visit will last two days, and they are scheduled to embark on a trip to Cordoba, where a meeting of the Aqaba Process will be held. It will be presided over by Abdullah II of Jordan and will also be attended by Felipe VI.
Queen Letizia in a printed dress by Diego Estrada
For this occasion, Queen Letizia has opted for a new sleeveless, printed, and midi-length dress designed by Diego Estrada.
The high temperatures of the month of June have influenced the royal’s decision to opt for a fresh and appropriate outfit for the visit.
The dress is straight cut and features a floral print in various colors, predominantly pink, red, and sky blue.
She completed the outfit with a nude clutch, while the shoes chosen were a pair of Carolina Herrera leather stilettos in fuchsia, which made her stand out.
As for jewelry, the Spanish Queen has worn new earrings from Gold & Roses. Specifically, they are the Luzia 3 Stars model, star-shaped and made in 18 kt rose and white gold and diamonds.
