Queen Letizia’s trip to Paraguay is giving a lot to talk about. The wife of King Felipe VI carries out her annual cooperation trip, participating in different activities in which she is giving visibility to different causes. Due to this type of trip she always wears a red vest with zippers, pockets and flags and this has been the reason for the controversy, receiving criticism from a congresswoman.

What did the congresswoman tell Queen Letizia in Paraguay for wearing a vest?
The woman criticized the queen of Spain saying:
“Mrs. Letizia, we deserved one of the little dresses you have in your closet, not the vest worn by your guard and your secretary”.
According to the South American country’s press, the congresswoman received negative messages for criticizing the Queen of Spain’s attire since the vest is a symbol of cooperation. Even Silvana Lopez, the First Lady of Paraguay, has come out to stand up for Letizia.
Congresswoman Celeste Amarilla also received a strong response from the brand that manufactured the vest. The company in charge of making this garment for Queen Letizia is from Paraguay.
“The ‘low category vest’ as you say was manufactured by our company at the request of the Spanish Cooperation. A national SME. If you want a dress you can buy it with the good salary you earn”.
