Queen Letizia continues her affinity for sneakers, not out of affection but due to medical advice.
Over a month has passed since the Queen of Spain fractured the phalanx of her right middle toe in a domestic mishap, yet she still needs to wear comfortable footwear.
Her preferred choice is barefoot shoes, designed to mimic the shape of the foot, making one feel almost barefoot.
Queen Letizia’s New Eco-Friendly Sneakers by Ohne Project
This Wednesday, Queen Letizia added a new pair to her collection: eco-friendly sneakers from the Ohne Project, a brand created by well-known Spanish influencers dedicated to healthy eating, Manel & Hanna.
Despite her injury, the Queen has remained active in her official duties, recently presiding over a meeting of the Patronato de la Residencia de Estudiantes.
This institution is one of Spain’s most significant cultural centers, and although the King holds the honorary presidency, Queen Letizia attends this annual meeting to discuss upcoming projects and the challenges the organization faces.
On this occasion, Queen Letizia showcased her new Ohne Project sneakers, specifically the Royal Green Project 080 model, priced at 159 euros (US$172 at current exchange rate). These shoes are entirely vegan, including the adhesives used.
The upper material is composed of 70% corn waste and 30% organic cotton, while the inner lining is made from 60% bamboo and 40% recycled polyester. The laces are crafted from organic cotton.
Turning to the rest of Queen Letizia’s ensemble, she chose to wear a romantic-style white blouse from her wardrobe. This piece features central embroidery, puffed sleeves ending in closed cuffs, and a smocked waist that flatters the silhouette.
It is a creation from the now-defunct brand Uterqüe’s spring-summer 2021 collection.
Queen Letizia first wore this blouse in September 2021 during the inauguration of the 2021/2022 Vocational Training Course in La Rioja. Back then, she paired it with black pants; however, for the meeting with the Patronato de la Residencia de Estudiantes, she opted for white trousers.
In terms of jewelry, Queen Letizia chose subtle earrings from actress Bárbara Goenaga’s collection, the Little Iconic model.
These handcrafted earrings are shaped like a lightning bolt and made with gold and small black diamonds, though they are also available with zirconia and a tiny central ruby.
They are priced at US$150 each on Bárbara Goenaga’s website, sold individually to accommodate extra piercings—like those Queen Letizia has—or to mix and match with different designs.
The Queen will be seen again this Thursday when she and the King preside over the meeting of the Patronato de la Fundación Princesa de Asturias.
