Queen Letizia of Spain showed her support for her writer friend, Sonsoles Ónega by making a surprise appearance at the journalist’s recent book signing.
For the occasion, the Spanish consort opted for a casual chic look, which once again highlighted her fashion sense.
Queen Letizia in pink leather jacket by Hugo Boss
Queen Letizia, who arrived unannounced, waited patiently in line for more than 40 minutes before greeting Ónega, who had just won the prestigious Planeta Prize for her novel ‘Las Hijas de la Criada’ (The Maid’s Daughters).
After hugging her friend, Letizia sat down to chat with the author while she signed a copy of the book.
For the outing, Letizia chose a casual outfit reminiscent of what one might wear for a private weekend activity. The centerpiece was a new fuchsia pink leather jacket from Hugo Boss.
The eye-catching Saleli style belongs to a past collection by the designer and is valued at US$533.
Underneath, the Queen wore a knitted sweater in a matching shade of pink. The long-sleeved top had a round neckline that coordinated nicely with the jacket.
Letizia also wore a new black braided leather handbag from Mango called Gardenia.
Made of premium leather, the multi-directional straps allow for flexibility.
Unfortunately, this accessory from last season is no longer available, although it was originally priced at just over $50 US.
Completing the look were jeans and boots. This is the third time in the last month that Letizia has worn jeans for a more relaxed outfit.
Undoubtedly, the vibrant hue of the Hugo Boss jacket perfectly matched the joyous occasion.
By supporting her friend in such a thoughtful way, Queen Letizia showed her down-to-earth nature.
