On Thursday, the King and Queen opened the doors of the Royal Palace to the Board of Trustees of the Princess of Asturias Foundation. In an event that saw King Felipe and Queen Letizia once again representing their daughter, Princess Leonor.
Although Princess Leonor has been the president of the foundation for a decade, her parents, Felipe and Letizia, have taken on her duties at the meetings held throughout the year.
Following in her father’s footsteps, Princess Leonor will likely not assume a fully active agenda for these institutional commitments until she completes her academic training.
Queen Letizia Wows in Red Tweed Jacket
At this event, Queen Letizia drew considerable attention with her choice of attire, which was rather unseasonal.
Yesterday, she surprised everyone with a romantic-style blouse paired with simple white pants. Today, she completely changed her look, opting for one of her wintery tweed jackets.
Queen Letizia brought back to life her red tweed jacket, featuring a closed neckline, frayed sleeves and hem, and an invisible closure.
This jacket was made by the Association for the Prevention, Reintegration, and Care of Prostituted Women (APRAMP), which she has supported for many years.
Just like the first time she wore it in January, she paired it with simple black pants, but this time she wore skinny pants.
However, instead of sneakers, the Queen completed her look with rounded-toe ballerinas with ankle strap, a very comfortable alternative and suitable for her working girl style.
Regarding jewelry, the mother of Leonor and Sofia wore beautiful, discreet pearl earrings, complementing her eternal Coreterno ring.
As Queen Letizia wraps up her institutional commitments this Thursday, she is preparing for the imminent return of her daughter, Infanta Sofia.
According to the UWC Atlantic College of Wales calendar, first-year students finish their academic year on June 14, marking the beginning of their eagerly awaited summer vacation.
Sofia will enjoy two months of rest and relaxation, spending time with family and friends she has surely missed.
