This Wednesday, the Spanish royal family met with the members of the Young Advisory Council of the Princess of Girona Foundation, an event that precedes the presentation of the prestigious awards of the entity, chaired by Princess Leonor, in Lloret de Mar.
For this event, Queen Letizia, always attentive to the latest trends and social causes, wowed everyone by wearing a rented dress, highlighting her support for circular fashion.
This current production and consumption model promotes the exchange, reuse and recycling of materials and products for as long as possible.
At the event held in the picturesque town of Lloret de Mar, Letizia dazzled in a green linen dress.
The Spanish consort was accompanied by King Felipe VI and her daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia.
Queen Letizia’s Rented Dress
It was a green sleeveless midi dress with round neckline and bodice, fitted at the waist and from the Australian firm Aje.
The dress came from a Spanish company specializing in the rental of dresses and accessories for events, marking a milestone as it was the first time the queen is known to have opted for a rented outfit at a public event.
This gesture by the Queen of Spain underlines her commitment to the circular and sustainable economy.
It should be recalled that the Infanta Sofia had already followed this trend by renting the dress she wore at the swearing-in of the Constitution of her sister, the Princess of Asturias, last October 31 at the Spanish Congress of Deputies.
This is not the first time that Queen Letizia has used her dress to support important causes. In the past, she has shown solidarity with the Ukrainian people in the face of the war with Russia and has supported women victims of sexual exploitation through her fashion choices.
At the event, Letizia opted for comfortable footwear, with a slight wide heel, having worn flats in recent weeks due to a fractured right toe suffered in late April.
Her new sandals, in an elegant light beige shade from the brand & Other Stories, featured two thin straps at the front.
She completed her look with long earrings from Coolook. According to the online store of this jewelry brand founded by Mar Aldeguer, the earrings are made of champagne gold and hand-cut natural stones, with zirconia details adding sparkle to the set.
These earrings, valued at $270 at the exchange rate, feature an aqua green stone with gold setting, from which hangs a strip of rhinestones with rhinestones, ending in a larger stone of the same tone.
To complete her outfit, Letizia wore a single additional piece of jewelry: a ring on her index finger.
