As president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), Queen Letizia continues to consolidate her commitment to the fight against one of the most devastating diseases in the world.
This Thursday, the monarch traveled to Milan to attend the central event of World Cancer Research Day, which took place at the FIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology.
This important event brought together experts and scientists from around the world with the aim of advancing knowledge and treatment of cancer.

“Innovation is key to making knowledge transfer a reality, improving equity in access to treatments, and increasing both survival rates and patients’ quality of life,” she explained.
