On the second day of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Queen Letizia of Spain captured glances again with her impeccable style.
After her stunning appearance on Thursday in an exquisite Dior Haute Couture design, the Queen opted for a Carolina Herrera dress for the official opening of the Games.
This outfit had already caused a sensation the first time she wore it and once again, she stole the looks and compliments of everyone present.
A Royal Gathering at the Elysée Palace
Friday’s day began when King Felipe arrived alone at the Elysee Palace to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte.
The Macron’s official residence was dressed up to welcome the Heads of State who have traveled to Paris for the opening ceremony of the Games.
Then came the opening ceremony which was held along the Seine River and followed by the royals from the iconic Trocadero.
Queen Letizia joined the event wearing a dress from her closet.
Queen Letizia’s style at the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony
For this special occasion, Letizia rescued from her personal collection a dress by designer Carolina Herrera.
The design stands out for its original sweetheart neckline in black and its wide straps, which complement a floral print in black and white.
With a fitted bodice, practical pockets, a midi length flared skirt and a black bow at the waist, this dress became the center of attention.
The first time the Queen wore this dress was in July 2023, during the inauguration of the Royal Collections Gallery at the Royal Palace in Madrid.
On that occasion, it received very positive reviews, consolidating itself as one of the most praised outfits of the year. Now, a year later, Letizia has chosen this elegant piece to shine at the opening of the Olympic Games.
