This Thursday was very busy for the Spanish queen, who went in the morning to Lab6, a place that offers free activities for young people with mental health problems.
Felipe VI’s wife, always committed to this issue, attended with Queen Máxima to support ‘Mind Us’, an organization chaired by the Dutch queen.
After the visit to Lab6, the two monarchs went to the Tuschinski Theater to attend the colloquium of the film ‘Campeonex’, as part of the tenth anniversary of the Amsterdam Spanish Film Festival.
Now all reunited, the King and Queen of Spain, Felipe VI and Letizia, ended their state trip to the Netherlands with a visit to the STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam.
During this last event, Queen Letizia captured all eyes with her elegant and sober attire, which once again demonstrated her impeccable style and good taste.
Queen Letizia’s style in the STRAAT Museum
For the occasion, Queen Letizia chose a dress by designer Mohamed Benchellal, an expert in combining modernity and classicism.
The model, in blue, included a side layer of shawl-like volume, joined to the original piece through an asymmetrical neckline pattern with a single off shoulder sleeve.
As accessories, the Queen wore feather earrings, made with brilliant and baguette-cut diamonds, which Queen Sofia received as a gift from the Sultan of Oman in the 80s.
It is important to note that Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has also opted for this Moroccan-Dutch designer, when she wore a gray model during her daughter Amalia’s debut at the Prinsjesdag in 2020.
During the visit, the kings of Spain and Holland, along with Princess Amalia, posed for the official photo in front of the murals that make up the exhibition, demonstrating a special harmony between the five of them.
This last act put an end to a state trip that can be described as historic, and that was full of anecdotes and memorable moments.
For example, the one that took Felipe VI and William of Holland to the soccer field of the Johan Cruyff Foundation before the watchful eyes of dozens of children with special needs.
Also making headlines was Queen Letizia’s unplanned appearance due to Morton’s neuroma, which forced her to remain seated during the gala dinner that took place on Wednesday night.
