If something works, why change it? That must have been Queen Letizia’s logic when choosing her outfit for her visit to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on Thursday, March 11.
The King and Queen traveled to the city to preside over the presentation of the National Innovation and Design Awards 2023, and the Queen opted to repeat a successful formula when it comes to fashion.
The style that the Queen wore today is almost similar to the one she wore recently during her visit to Gandía: a two-piece in pink also by Hugo Boss.
Queen Letizia’s new suit by Hugo Boss
Queen Letizia arrived at the Miller building in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with King Felipe VI for the prestigious awards ceremony.
The Spanish consort wore an elegant coral-colored suit by Hugo Boss, consisting of a blazer with a relaxed silhouette called ‘Jopeta’ and a pair of high-waisted pleated pants called ‘Tefike’.
The jacket cost US$ 595, while the pants cost US$ 298.
This suit is presented combined with a blouse, also coral, on the brand’s website, but Letizia gave it her personal touch.
To contrast the coral tone of the suit, The Spanish queen opted for a white blouse, also new, which featured a rounded neckline, pleated fabric at the top, and short sleeves.
As for the accessories, the consort chose a nude-colored slingback from the Magrit brand, due to the ailments in her feet that have forced her to give up the highest heels.
The earrings chosen by Letizia were a drop-shaped design of the Spanish firm P de Paola, model Sugar, made of gold-plated silver. As a final accessory, she wore a Coreterno ring.
This has been the only official public act of the week for the Queen, who on Monday attended the funeral of Fernando Gómez-Acebo, the surviving son of King Juan Carlos.
For the occasion, Letizia resorted to a historic pearl brooch, a symbol loaded with history and meaning.
It is a brooch composed of a central round pearl surrounded by diamonds, with a diamond pendant and another pearl-shaped mother-of-pearl with a rose cap, which is a relic of the nineteenth century.
This jewel was acquired by Queen Maria Cristina of Austria, second wife and consort of Alfonso XII and mother and regent of Alfonso XIII.
Next week, the King and Queen will make a state visit to the Netherlands, where the Queen is likely to wear another of the crown jewels.
